Interesting groups

Do any of you guys remember DAF, the deviant art fantasia group? It had a kind of a backdrop setting and plot, and allows participants to design characters to be a part of the world? Is there any similar groups right now that look interesting? It doesn't have to be exactly like DAF, i remember was a part of a pokimono group..I'm looking for interesting groups that will stimulate me to draw some original stuff. any thoughts?

back on DA!

hey guys, it's been years lol but really I couldn't help it. I went back to China and found DA blocked...among many other things such as twitter or FB, and I had a real unstable VPN, so I could only come on occasionally... But I am back in Toronto now, hopefully for good, if I can make a living here I'd love to just stay here and hopefully see some of you at Anime North next year / v \

I see that some of you guys have left me happy birthday messages all the way up to 2015, thank you guys so much...you guys are the sweetest. I'm sorry I've missed so much, and will try to be back more now.

Btw, DA has changed so much...I don't think I know how to use a lot of the new functions, I'm just blanking out right now staring at my own page...no idea what all these new gadgety thingys are.(

on another note, I am crazy in love with fire emblem three houses right now. which house r u guys in?

haven't had time to draw in a while

anyway funny story with alfred, yao and ivan...don't know how many ppl have kept up with the rescue process down at the south pole...ivan got trapped there, and yao too after an attempt to help ivan (which was not a complete failure, seeing that he managed to get the rich australian tourists out of there with helicoptors), then, a few days after, alfred announces his intentions to go swooping in and rescue the two damsels in distress.

at which point yao just kinda got up and said oh it looks like i'm not stuck after all, cya! and 1 day later, ivan was also out of there...

poor alfred, i heard he picked up a lot of supplies when he stopped by australia before his rescue mission.

on another note, so many new series this spring, i've got some serious watching to do. Space Dandy promises of a classic cast of directors and storyboard artists and musicians, some of whom spurns some of the modern day favorites (and i must say, i'm not a huge fan of attack on titans myself...it's kinda hard to like when the artist expresses in an interview that he had been bullied and now draws those who had bullied him as giants, and based one important character on a WWII war criminal, and said himself that when he was drawing levi he was looking at nazis).So I'm looking forward to what these olden days classic directors can bring me. If they wanted to make something matching up to cowboy bebop, they've got some big shoes to fill / v \

I was in shanghai last weekend for the braodway show Phantom of the Opera, the flights and hotel and ticket costed around 3000 rmb but it was worth every cent. the special effects, the music, the actors, everything was just MAGNIFICENT. So please, people, if you get a chance, definitely go see it.

On a late note, merry christmas and a jolly good new year to everyone. it's kinda hard to forget the holidays if you don't get any days off XD so bear with me.

help! searching of a brand of watercolor

Hey guys i have a question for u / v \ Anyway there is this brand of watercolor I used to use when I was in Canada, I use to buy it from some art shop beneath the giant art school building (There is a building propped up on pillars shaped like pencils in downtown Toronto) . It is a set of 24 round cakes of opaque watercolor, I forgot what the cardboard cover outside of the box looks like but when you take the box out, it is a rectangular white plastic box with blue words on it. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Does anyone know what brand this is?
